Like A Rolling Stone

Band tees have been a staple of my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. No matter how old I get, I don’t really see them disappearing from my closet. I would also like to point out that I only wear band tees from bands that I actually listen to.

I went for a super cat-eye look with my Lily sunglasses from Saint Laurent. My Rolling Stones tee is from Daydreamer. It’s a one size fits all situation, which means it’s super oversized on me (just how I like my tees). My jeans are secondhand Trashed Freebirds from OneTeaspoon. I accessorized with my Engraved Dagger Necklace from The Great Frog, the medium Barbara bag from The Kooples, and some rings I picked up from a family of Native American silversmiths at a swap meet when I first moved to Arizona.

Speaking of things that happened when I first moved to Arizona, a big part of why I moved from LA was to improve my quality of life. I remember wandering around a Nordstrom and seeing these studded Elegant boots from Givenchy and I promised myself that one day I’d be in a position where I could actually afford them. Fast forward to almost three years later, I was still super obsessed with these boots and was finally able to buy them (secondhand of course). I have to stop myself from wearing them every single day, so they were definitely a good investment for me.

Leopard Tie Up

Skinny scarves and loose ties have been synonymous with rock n’ roll since the 70s. They were worn by Keith Richards, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and more. Hedi Slimane brought these scarves into high fashion when he became creative director for Saint Laurent in 2015. While he’s no longer with the fashion house, the position of scarves in high fashion has been cemented.

I took some inspiration from my outfit from my rock n’ roll icons and paired my leather jacket and Jersey V Neck Camisole from Scotch & Soda with a leopard scarf from AllSaints. My Ava Studded Jeans from AllSaints have become my go-to for straight leg jeans. They’re also great for showing up my Studded Leather Ankle Boots from Givenchy. I finished off the look with the medium Barbara bag from The Kooples and an assortment of rings I’ve collected over the years at art festivals from Native American silversmiths.

Short Skirt, Long Jacket

There’s only a few of these Oba Leather Mac coats from AllSaints left, so I highly suggest you jump on one while you have the chance. This coat is all leather, but is unlined so you can wear it over cozy layers in the fall/winter and over a much cooler outfit in the spring. I tucked a Cotton-Blend Camisole from Scotch & Soda into my mini skirt from AllSaints. I’m currently rocking my medium black Barbara Bag from The Kooples. Since the rest of my outfit is so monochromatic, I’m considering my Candy boots from Saint Laurent to be a pop of color.
