A fresh new year means getting a fresh new start. White has always symbolized new beginnings and a fresh start, so why not wear a white sweater to start off the new year?
While a lot of people are writing massive paragraphs on social media and their blogs about what they hope to have happen in the new year, I’m going to spare you all of that. Instead, I’m just going to say that I’m going into 2019 not setting a bunch of wild expectations, and just being open to what the universe throws my way instead.
Moving on: the white top/black pant or skirt combo is now officially my favorite.
Who doesn’t love a big, fluffy, white sweater in the winter? I snagged this one on sale at AllSaints. The black zip-front skirt is also from AllSaints, and comes in a plain vegan leather version (what I’m wearing) or a studded leather version.
My tights and slouchy boots are both giving me a little bit of nostalgic vibes. The polka dot tights bring me back to high school when I wore a lot of cut off denim shorts, patterned tights, and combat boots. The slouchy Guillot Boots from Jeffrey Campbell look just like a pair of boots that my mom had from the early 90s.
