Patch Me Up

I thought this would be my opportunity to jump in on the trend early and try out some looks I wouldn't normally go for. I don't know why I've always had an aversion to dresses, especially day dresses, but the styling in the product picture totally won me over. Normally, I like to style my outfits myself and don't like to get suckered into the styling on the website that exists just have have me buy more of their products, but it seemed like the first way that I would be able to enjoy a dress in the day.

This patchwork dress is both a nod to the 70s and the 90s, making it very versatile for style. Pair the dress with a floppy brim hat, some mules, and a brown leather backpack and you get a very 70s Little House On The Prairie vibe. Pair the dress with fishnets and studded boots, and you get a grunge queen's dress that isn't a babydoll dress or satin slip. The dress is actually a bit boxy on my, but I like that. Wearing a dress that kind of hangs on you give you more of that grunge heroin-chic look (Obviously I'm NOT advocating heroin use. That was just the trend at the time.) Since the patchwork on the dress is fairly dark, all you have to do is throw on a leather jacket and you're ready for a night out.
