Only Because I'm Green

Branching out from my usual black-on-black wardrobe has been a slow process for me. I've found that even if I'm not in all black, my color palette still tends to be very dark. When I saw this green moto jacket hanging up in the store, I thought it would be the perfect way to add some color to my closet. Admittedly, green is actually a very good color for my skin tone so my signature leather jacket in a dark emerald green seemed like a good choice. I paired my jacket with a cropped cowl neck top because wearing a full-on turtleneck makes me feel like I'm choking all day. To avoid showing skin in the cooler autumn months, I wore my highest-waisted skinny jeans and my all-time favorite snake print boots.

I've actually started seeing snake print as more of a neutral when it comes to animal prints. They're not bright or extremely graphic like other animal prints and can come in an array of colors from green to gold to brown without looking cheesy or unrealistic. Unlike my leopard coat (which I love by the way), my snake boots are the only animal-printed clothing that I feel like I can wear without having to wear all neutrals along with it, which is why it's become one of my favorites.
