Destroy The Future
If you're a twenty-something in Los Angeles, chances are that Echo Park is one of your favorite places. With coffee shops, juice bars, record stores, and tons of other trendy places, Echo Park has quickly become of the most in-demand places to live in LA. What I personally love about Echo Park is that, while the the whole neighborhood has been gentrified at this point, it hasn't lost its old school LA charm.
If you lived in Los Angeles 10 years ago, you did not want to go anywhere near Echo Park. It was considered a run down low-income neighborhood that had become a place where many people who couldn't make it on Skid Row called home. Now, rent prices are so high that many of the twenty-somethings that transformed the neighborhood into what it is today are almost priced out of living there. While Echo Park could have easily been transformed into a bunch of modern eco-buildings, the people chose to restore the old brick buildings instead.
Graphic Muscle Tee
It's the mixture of trendy interiors and gritty Los Angeles exteriors that inspire my outfit. A muscle tee is my go-to when the sun comes out in Los Angeles. I got this one from a sample sale at Loser Machine Company. I paired the muscle tee with famine cat eye-shaped sunglasses so I would;t look too masculine. My jeans are my most comfortable and well-loved blue jeans. Lastly, a pair of biker-inspired black booties finish off my outfit and give it a little edgy (because the tattoos weren't enough, right?).
