Morning Scorpion

For our last day in Phoenix, my boyfriend and I decided that we had explored the city of Phoenix enough and went out to explore the desert instead. The great thing about Phoenix is that there's only about a 20 minute drive from big city high rises to desert horse ranches. We ended up just taking a random street by where we were staying and just drove towards the mountains. We ended up in a place called Scorpion Gulch, which is a huge desert park and stable out past the suburbs against the mountains. There were plenty of trails and paved roads to take and explore, but we decided to check out the skeleton of an old building (I'm guessing it used to be a ranch or something) instead.

To protect my face and eyes from the desert sun as usual, I decided to go with my hat from The Kooples and my Quay sunglasses. I wore my white camisole tucked into lace-up denim shorts. It really started heating up the last day of our trip, so I thought wearing the least amount of clothing that was also as light as possible would be a good idea. Even though I'm not the hugest fan of sandals, I finally gave into the heat and broke in my studded gladiator sandals from BCBGMaxAzria. Lastly, I carried a ton of water and sunscreen in my new favorite calf hair tote.
