Ivory Heat

Cream and ivory are great colors for when the days start heating up. Even if you tend to wear darker colors all year round like I do, cream and ivory are versatile colors that can easily be made to look more grunge or edgy. When it starts heating up, I still like to have some way to layer my outfits and a light knit cardigan in a light color is perfect. When buying knit cardigans, I also try and get something that's a little oversized so it can feel like a cozy blanket when it's colder and be draped off one shoulder when it's warmer. Draping a cardigan off the shoulder also gives off a cool and effortless vibe which is why I also only partially tucked my top into my jeans.

When wearing this ivory cardigan from Free People, I like to make sure the rest of my outfit is still feeling pretty rock n' roll so that I still have that cool, edgy, LA vibe. I wore my studded hat from The Kooples which I love, not only because it protects my face from the sun, but it also has both gold and silver studs so it matches all of my accessories. I borrowed my Guns N Roses tank from a friend a few years ago after spilling drinks all over myself and ended up just kind of keeping it (sorry Chris!). It's technically a men's tee that was cut into a tank top and it's pretty long and baggy on me, so I tucked part of it into my high-waisted AllSaints jeans so that you can see my smaller figure underneath and it doesn't look like I'm wearing a weird dress. When wearing cropped skinny jeans, I also like to wear booties that come up over my ankles to give a little balance to the look, and my studded booties are one of my favorites. I'm also sure to take my leather bucket bag with me when I'm wandering around the city to hold everything I need without having to lug around some big bag that I don't need.
